This morning, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) filed a complaint with Georgia’s ethics commission against DA Willis and attorney Nathan Wade. The complaint distracts from the real issue here: that Donald Trump and his collaborators attempted to overturn the legitimate 2020 presidential election.

We all see the pattern here. Again and again, Trump and his cronies, such as Representative Greene and Michael Roman, shamelessly attack public servants tasked with protecting our democracy while minimizing or ignoring the ongoing criminal and civil cases concerning the 2020 election.

Let’s not forget that these are the same people who threatened our democracy by trying to overturn a legitimate election. They tried to disenfranchise Georgia voters and, ultimately, supported an unprecedented insurrection at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. To this day, Trump and his collaborators consistently advocate for pardoning the insurrectionists and whitewashing the attack on the Capitol.

We are tired of hearing about ethics from the people who worked to destroy the nation Trump had pledged to serve. We only want one thing for Trump and his collaborators at this point: accountability in the courts that are now considering claims about their 2020 conduct, in accordance with the evidence and the rule of law.
