Washington, D.C. – New polling released this week by Reuters/Ipsos shows Americans are seeing the truth: Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are undermining and threatening our democracy.
The Reuters/Ipsos poll results show that “58% percent of respondents… said Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again’ movement is threatening America’s democratic foundations.”
“After Trump lost the 2020 election, MAGA Republicans promoted political violence in order to stop the peaceful transfer of power,” said Defend Democracy Project Communications Director, Nicole Haley. “But their campaign of terror didn’t end on January 6th: they’re still pushing conspiracy theories and fomenting violence today by threatening law enforcement officers and saying they will not concede elections when they lose. Americans know Trump and MAGA Republicans will stop at nothing to take away our fundamental rights and ensure they have ultimate control over who leads us.
MAGA Republicans are the biggest threat to our country and our rights today. Americans must join together to stop the ongoing threat they pose to our country and hold them accountable.”
