Former Ambassador Norman Eisen, Experts to Hold Press Briefing on What’s Next for Multiple Criminal Investigations Into Donald Trump

*** HAPPENING TOMORROW: WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2022***

Speakers will discuss the latest on the multiple criminal investigations into Donald Trump, including his efforts to defy the results of the 2020 election, and the importance of no one, including former presidents, being above the law.

Washington, DC On Wednesday, November 30, 2022, Defend Democracy Project will host public press briefings in Arizona and North Carolina with former Ambassador Norm Eisen to discuss and provide an update on the multiple criminal investigations into Donald Trump, including for his efforts to defy the results of the 2020 election.

With the bipartisan House Select Committee on January 6’s work coming to a close, attention now turns to the investigations former President Trump faces into his role in planning what a federal judge has termed a “coup in search of a legal theory.” Those investigations include the rapidly accelerating criminal case in Georgia, with charges expected as soon as later this year, as well as the Department of Justice’s investigation of January 6th, and other probes focused on the “fake electors” scheme.

If not held accountable, MAGA Republicans will continue to engage in conspiratorial activity and incite violence to take power. They threaten our most basic freedoms – choosing our leaders – and our democracy. They act as if they are above the law. They must be held accountable.

Join us as our experts discuss the latest in these criminal investigations, the implications for Arizonans and North Carolinians, and the importance of no one – including former presidents – being above the law.
